Planning Your Visit

We encourage you to come by to see the school and our classrooms for yourself. Here are a few suggestions that will help you get the most from your visit.

Make an appointment.
Before you stop by, please call (401) 434-6913 to schedule an appointment.

Do a little reading about Montessori.
Although not required, having a little knowledge about the Montessori classroom and philosophy before you arrive will help you understand what you see during your visit. We recommend the online article, The Characteristics of an Authentic Montessori School, as a good starting place. You’ll find other resources on the About Montessori page.

Expect quiet observation.
We try to disrupt the classroom, teachers, and students as little as possible during observations. Expect to observe the class from with little or no interaction with the teacher or students. Your tour guide will answer your questions after you’ve stepped back into the hallway.

Do not bring prospective students to classroom observations.
Although children are welcome to accompany their parents for a look around the school, we ask that they do not come along for the classroom observation in the interest of keeping disruption and distraction to a minimum.

The Map and Directions page has information to help you find us. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to give us a call at (401) 434-6913.
